Thai companies will have to face many upcoming challenges, such as the advent of the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) in 2015, possible political instability, and unforeseen pressures and impacts from fluctuations in the global economy. How do you proactively manage unexpected situations? This seminar will highlight the importance of leadership roles in handling complicated and unexpected situations.

Prof. Dave Snowden is the founder and Chief Scientific Officer of Cognitive Edge. His work is in the area of naturalising sense-making, seeking to base social science research and practice in the natural science. He is generally considered to be a pioneer in the application of complex adaptive systems theory to a range of social issues. His work extends across government and industry in a variety of fields including knowledge management, strategic planning, conflict resolution, weak signal detection, decision support and organisational development.

Dr. Sampan Silapanad is the current Vice President of  Western Digital. Before he was appointed Vice President at Western Digital Company he was Vice President at Seagate Technology. Dr. Sampan is internationally recognized for successfully managing companies through difficult, unexpected situations. He has been invited to give seminars, talks and workshops on different business topics on national and international level.

Dr. Vincent Ribiere is the Managing Director and co-founder of the Institute for Knowledge and Innovation (SouthEast Asia). He is the Program Director of the newly created International PhD program in Knowledge and Innovation Management (KIM) and an Associate Professor at Bangkok University‘s Graduate School. As a consultant he has worked with a number of organizations, including: the  PTT Production Public Company Limited (PTTEP), Bayer Material Science (Rayong), PTT Chemical, Amadeus Asia, Essilor. Dr. Ribière has published more than 50 publications on KM and its application.
