Jean-Francois Tendron

Jean-Francois Tendron obtained his French aircraft engineering degree from the automotive rail aerospace and aeronautical school in Paris (ESTACA). From 1993 to 1998, he worked in South East Asia for a French civil engineering group where he was the CIO for the Asian region (based in Bangkok). In 1999, Jean-Francois joined the Cap Gemini / Ernst & Young group as a consultant in knowledge management (France). In 2001, he created his own consulting company in France, after in-depth research on the areas of knowledge engineering, then another company in Canada (Montreal). He has developed a KM approach based on his experience acquired in very complex environments such as the defense industry, where the ability to provide clear situation awareness is an absolute prerequisite. Whilst standard knowledge management programs generally emphasize on technological aspects, you will find out that he instead recommends to devote the maximum of effort to the criticality analysis of the knowledge in order to provide the management with a present and future view of the interests at stake.
